Extended Call for Papers

The English Department at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, Serbia is pleased to announce its sixth international conference on English language, literature and culture studies. For us, the year 2019 will be a year of celebrations; it is with great pride that we will be marking two great anniversaries – 90 years from the founding of our English Department and 135 years since English was first taught at the Velika škola (Great School) in Belgrade. The aim of this special international conference will be to mark these two important historical events by promoting an exchange of ideas across different areas and theoretical frameworks of English linguistics and anglophone literary/cultural studies throughout a broad academic community.

We invite proposals for papers and posters addressing diverse issues within the very broad theme of the conference – English Language, Literature and Culture Studies – in the following fields:

• Theoretical Linguistics

– Raluca Radulescu (Professor of Medieval Literature, School of English Literature, University of Bangor, UK)

The official language of the conference is English.
